Focusing User Attention.

With these requirements in mind, we opted to create a site that was designed to quickly focus the user’s attention on properties that are relevant to them. We did this by filtering student and professional tenants on the homepage and in the menu before they get to any property listings. Once on the listings page, they are able to apply additional filters to sort through the properties.

Animated Feedback

As the listings pages could be potentially quite long, we added subtle animations on the filtered lists to notify the user that there had been a change in the list as they adjust the parameters.


To ensure the user could easily find key pieces of information about properties, we created a set of icons to show features of a property that are important to users looking to compare properties. The secondary purpose of the icons was to add character and reinforce the friendly tone of the Hopewell identity.
