Describe your job in three words.
Insightful, hectic, entertaining!
Where were you working previously?
I worked for Design4Retail, a creative agency based in Leicestershire.
Tell us about one of the most exciting projects you’ve worked on during your career?
I created a retail safari trip for a sports brand which lead us across London and Paris, exploring the latest and greatest in retail, brand and digital.
Do you have a dream project? Tell us about it.
To build my own home in Iceland, ideally on the outskirts of Reykjavik! Work-wise, I'd love to work with lifestyle beauty brand Glossier or craft beer brand Wild Beer Co.
What does the future of retail look like to you?
I think it has become almost impossible to define a ‘future of’ anymore, but I personally believe that brands and retailers should be consistently looking to break the rule book and disrupt what has been done before. It’s a case of never becoming too comfortable, because retail should be exciting, in my opinion anyway!
What brands do you think are doing it well at the moment?
For me, Glossier are a brand hitting the nail on the head right now. Their strong social presence, their dedication to focusing on natural beauty and their personable branding keep me interested in them – so much so that I’ve stopped using heavy make-up in favour of using their products. However, whilst they’ve created pop-ups, their next venture should be brick-and-mortar because I really value the tactile experience. In second place would be eyewear brands Ace & Tate and Cubitts, who have changed the game when it comes to eyewear retail; with my experience of trying on glasses becoming far less dreary and disappointing than previous medicinal visits to the opticians.
Who would you most like to swap places with for the day?
What did you want to grow up to be when you were a kid?
I would like to say something really profound, but I wanted to own an old-fashioned sweet shop.
What are you currently watching on Netflix?
I’m looking for something new! Until then, it’s my 8th time around on Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia.
Website you visit the most?
Again, I want to say something really insightful here, but it is definitely ASOS and Glossier.
What’s your secret talent no one knows about?
I can rap the entirety of Kanye West’s Gold Digger and Spaceship. But I would probably its far from a secret as I boast about it a lot…
If you could only have three apps on your phone, which would you pick?
