Retail Point Of Sale And Marketing

We were approached by Rutland Cycling to design a new retail and marketing pack for their ever-growing number of stores. As one of the largest and fastest growing independent cycling retailers in the country, the challenge was to consolidate existing POS items and processes into a consistent pack which would work across many different environments. This included developing an overall style for all retail messaging, hire marketing and signage, while at the same time complementing their traditional cycle hire tone.

We developed a bold and flexible design, giving Rutland’s retail environments a clean and professional look and feel. Complementing the retail messaging, the style for hire utilised a softer approach, focussing on ‘great family days out’.

We are continuing to help them develop their retail environments, with an aim to get more people involved in cycling!

Patterns & Icons

We developed a combination of pattern and colour to distinguish between each retail message, ensuring the communication was bold, unique and concise.

A bespoke set of icons reflected the surroundings of each location, giving each site an identity within the cycle hire communication.

Events & Competitions

The flexible overall style was designed to suit a multitude of retail messages and functions. This included competitions and as part of the launch of the new style, Rutland Cycling ran a brand awareness competition to firstly introduce the market to the new style, but also to increase engagement with the brand over social media and get involved in the cycling community.
